Look at this before and after picture of a 43,500 lb. gearbox we recently rebuilt for one of
the world’s largest mining companies. Sure, it looks good when it’s completed and ready
for shipment back to the customer…but we think looks alone can be deceiving.

When Pamco professionals undertake a project even like this time-critical one, it’s a bit
of a shame that all of the careful and methodical inspections, the precision machining of
new or repaired components and expert assembly and testing will likely never be seen by
anyone once the unit is closed up and completed. Most of the time our customers only see
the cosmetic stuff; i.e. the cleaned exterior, professional looking ID tags and a nice paint
job. To some customers the “like new” look confirms to them that PAMCO has done
another great job and that they got their money’s worth. But at PAMCO we know there’s
much more to a good job that what your eyes can see. Our professionals never forget that
real test for this or any gearbox, pump, cylinder or other equipment that we may rebuild
is how well it works once it is put back into service. We believe our customers shouldn’t
have to worry about whether our standards are high enough or that we’re paying attention
to the details.

We are not just another rebuild shop…we in the trust and reliability business and nobody
understands this better that us. Are we proud of a good paint job? Sure we are. But we
know that what our customers really need is the peace of mind and certainty that comes

Everybody’s knows about the emergency room at your local hospital, it’s the place you
go when you need immediate care. ER doctors and nurses are not your average medical
professionals, they are experts in medical care but they have the added ability to perform
extremely well when under pressure. An ER visit doesn’t require a scheduled
appointment because, in a way, they’re already trained to expect you. They also know
that time is of the essence and that without immediate attention to your problem, things
will only get worse.

At Pamco we operate much the same way…(no, we can’t help you with a broken arm)
but when your plant machinery (gearboxes, pumps, cylinders and nearly all other forms
of mechanical equipment) fails you need a place that has the expertise and sense of
urgency to make the repairs quickly. Very few service companies are capable of
responding the way Pamco can due to our size, well-equipped shop and very experienced
team of professionals. We are also unique because we train ourselves that we must come
through for our customer quickly but never compromise quality.

You wouldn’t trust your medical needs to just anyone and likewise, the consequences of
sending your equipment to the wrong repair shop can be serious. We understand that not
every repair job you have is an emergency so that’s why we discuss it with you in
advance to find out what exactly you need.
